(AKA Symphyotrichum lateriflorus ‘Lady in Black’)  Upright stems to 3’ are cloaked in purple leaves and topped with frothy, pinkish-white flowers in late summer and early fall. Enjoys part sun to light shade and is a very welcome late season bloomer…easy to grow like most asters. Nice in leaf and in flower – a very different aster!
