Rubus setchuenensis
An interesting and unusual thornless bramble from China (aka R. omiensis); grows fairly quickly to 8-10′; large, bold foliage and stems are especially attractive against a lightly shaded wall. Has orange-red fruits resembling salmonberry that are edible.; We cut the plant back annually to prevent possible seeding and indiscriminate sexual encounters with local blackberry bushes, but we like this plant!
