Hydrangea serrata ‘Hokaido’

For your oriental influenced garden

This hard-to-find variety from the serrata family of hydrangeas has pale and slightly rough leaves providing great contrast for your garden. We have heard that the local villagers would climb into mountainous regions just to gather leaves from this plant for their medicinal tea (not recommended, however). The lacecap bloom is breathtaking and blooms are pale pink or pale purple aging to deep red.
