This selection has deep violet blue, star shaped flowers in spikes, May to June. This 15-18″ tall naturalizing bulbous perennial enjoys moist to wet soil, at least during the bloom period. Tolerant of clay soil & blooms best in full sun. Ours thrives at pond edge and competes with native grasses, poking its deep blue spires up every May. Easy to grow.
