Aquilegia viridiflora ‘Chocolate Soldier’
Sweet-scented heirloom from 1902 bearing unusual, nodding, purplish brown petals held in yellow-green sepals. Bright chartreuse anthers add the finishing touch. Very attractive blue-green, fern-like foliage. To 12” tall. Most soils, sun to Lt. shade, avg. water–cut back hard summer; returns with gusto in early spring. Collector’s heirloom!
