A ‘no nonsense’ perennial with fine textured, needle-shaped, feathery foliage on relaxed upright stems topped with steel blue star flowers April to May that are butterfly attracters. Rounded clumps 2-3’ tall and 3-4’ wide. Rugged and deer resistant, requires little care. Best in fast draining soil in sun with at least semi regular water.   USDA Zone 5-9
