Perennial stems to 3’ or a bit more are topped with yellow flowers with rose to purple blotches and burgundy etchings; blooms summer and fall if spent stems are pulled (NOT cut).  The perfect stem for the vase, these flowers last a week or more!  Good garden soil, full sun, water when dry; these plants don’t need super rich soil or fertilizer, but perform best in a lean sandy soil.  Deer don’t touch it our place
