Very dramatic deciduous perennial from South Africa, strappy leafed clumps 18-20” give rise to 3’ stems topped by near black upright buds that slowly elongate, turning earthward, dangling in dark purple violet splendor July-August (have seen bloom into October). Full sun, well drained soil (though more tolt of winter wet than most of this genus). USDA Zone 7b 3″x 3″x 5″ pot
